The Campus Rec Leadership Summit is an invite-only experience designed for campus recreation directors and executive leaders responsible for navigating an increasingly complex campus environment — evolving student expectations, staffing challenges, budget constraints, and the growing role of recreation in student success.
This is not a trade show.
It’s a peer-driven leadership environment built to help you think strategically, learn from leaders facing similar challenges, and return to campus with ideas you can implement immediately.
Campus recreation leaders today are being asked to do more than ever before:
Leadership at this level can feel isolating — and the stakes are too high to figure it out alone.
The Campus Rec Leadership Summit exists because great leaders grow faster when they learn from other great leaders.
Everything about this experience is intentional:
This is a space for honest, high-level leadership dialogue.
The Leadership Summit will be held at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico.
This Summit is designed specifically for campus recreation directors and executive directors, i.e. the decision-makers responsible for strategic planning, leadership, staff development, culture and the campus recreation department’s overall impact.
Attendance is intentionally limited to 60 to preserve the quality of discussion and connection.
The cost to attend is $649 and includes all food and beverage during event times, all activities, and inclusion in all roundtables. Hotel rates are $279/night plus taxes. Rates are offered three days pre and post event, pending availability. To attend as a sponsor, contact rico@peakemedia.com for sponsorship pricing.

“This is the premiere event for directors to gather and learn from each other. Attending the Summit is a great opportunity to connect and network not only with fellow directors but vendors we work with throughout the year, giving us quality time and building trust with those leaders we can potentially purchase from. Thanks again for the opportunity to attend this amazing event!”

“The Campus Rec Summit is the most valuable professional development opportunity for recreation directors currently offered in our field. This event provides an intimate setting to relax and discuss the most relevant topics in our field while incorporating intentional social opportunities to build relationships with multiple colleagues.”

“This conference is a rare and essential space where departmental leaders can engage with honesty, vulnerability, and humility in a truly safe environment. Unlike other events that often foster competition, limit participation, or allow a select few to dominate the conversation, this gathering ensures equal opportunity for everyone to learn and share. It uniquely acknowledges the distinct nature of campus recreation, recognizing where we stand within our universities and embracing the fact that each of us operates under different circumstances.”
Ryan Hagen, Associate Athletic Director — Yale University
